New Brighton Soup
Next Soup: Autumn 2025
Twice a year we run Soup. where you can pitch your community idea for the pot (of cash that is)!
Join us for an evening of kai and community. For your ticket you will receive a delicious bowl of soup and one vote for your favourite idea on the night. Up to six people will pitch their ideas to those gathered and the winning idea will take home a pot of money to help make it happen.
We are collaborating with local businesses and the New Brighton Community Gardens to make this event happen. What we love about Soup is that it brings the community together and also helps make things happen, fast!
Sand Castle Competition

Alleyway Activation

DCB is supporting the temporary activation of the old-Westpac site in Brighton Mall. We have been inspired by our seaside locale and are bringing you something super fun and quirky!
The project will also help test some of the ideas behind the North-South corridor action as detailed in the New Brighton Master Plan. We will be working alongside local businesses, ChristchurchNZ and the City Council for this project.
